We all get anxious in various situations. This is normal for everyone. Many people feel anxious in social situations; others feel panicky in some stressful situations at work. Many of us feel anxious when faced with a fear such as heights, a spider, or a dog.
Common anxieties include phobias, social anxiety, health anxiety, panic attacks and worry. We often avoid the situations that we associate with anxiety and this tends to cause more anxiety in the long run. We may spend a lot of time worrying about various things that may or may not happen in the future, which just creates more anxiety for us. Anxiety tends to stop us from doing things and can make our comfort zone very small.
